Students interested in running for 7th grade student council will need to pick up an application and instruction sheet in the counseling office from September 1st-September 7th. Each participant will need to fill out the application, write a 200 word (or less) essay, and create a campaign poster. These three items will need to be turned in to the counseling office no later than the 8th of September in order for your student to be on the selection ballot. The poster needs to be the standard poster board size of 22”X 28”. Nothing should hang over on any of the sides of the poster board. Be creative and come up with a slogan that represents you and what you stand for. Posters need to be positive and not mention other candidates. Make sure the poster has the student's first and last name. Posters cannot have any references to social media outlets (facebook, twitter, etc) nor emails. Students are not allowed to hand anything out during the week (candy, prizes, flyers).
