Forensic Crime Solvers

Forensics

In CCA this term we have learned about the exciting and unpredictable career of Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security.  Students had to solve a "crime" in classes and where they also learned about fingerprints, forensics, investigations, and how DNA helps solve crimes and identify victims.  Students completed a Lab experiment where they were able to look at their own DNA. Many people assume that because DNA is so small, we can't see it without powerful microscopes. But in fact, DNA can be easily seen with the naked eye when collected from thousands of cells.  Students were amazed to see their own DNA.  They also learned that attention to the smallest of details is important when working in this career cluster.
