The students in Mrs. Rachel Hatch's class had a visit from snakes, armadillos and more animals from the Loveland Living Aquarium. Students asked lots of questions about the different animals that were visiting and learned a lot about the ecosystems and what these animals need to stay healthy.
Mrs. Katie Miller's class learned about Newton's Laws of motion and particularly how the size of the coaster car (either a BB or a Marble) affected the acceleration of the car as it traveled the different turns and loops of the roller coaster! What great scientists these students are becoming.
We had amazing candidates for student council this year. The students voted on Thursday and here are the students who will be representing Maple Grove Middle School this year!
Tyler Clegg, Evie Fluckiger, Austin Howard, Brady Knight, Kambree Kuhni, Isaiah Lainhart, Libby Schriever, Maddix Taylor, Vivian Tew and Tasha White!
Congratulations!
The students in Mrs. Heidi Broderick's science class were learning from phenomenon and creating their own Dancing Rice!
Katie Miller's class learned the importance of safety. One student from each class had the opportunity to pie her in the face to prove that safety glasses really protect your eyes!
Check out the MGMS Website to find more information about joining fun activities in September!
For Fun Friday in Mrs. Hannah Nelson's class, students learned about different scientific root words and their meanings. Students then created a root monster based on various different words of their choosing and then drew their monsters! Students also wrote stories about their monsters!
Congratulations to these amazing students who REACH Higher at Maple Grove and are Resilient, Engaged, Aware, Caring and Honest!
